We just got home tonight from the most hysterical dining experience ever!
My hubby (the Wookie as 'Manuel' named him) and I totally enjoyed the Faulty Towers Dining Experience and we were wondering when they are coming back to Perth. We heard that they may be returning at the end of the year, and we would like to come again with a group of friends. Could you please let me know if they are coming back, what dates would they be here and how do we go about getting tickets (I got these ones through work social club).
10 out of 10 for a fantastic show, both of us have never laughed so hard!

I had heard about the show for some time and last Saturday made the hadj from London to Manchester for the matinee performance.
I had set off with 2 concerns. The first was that the impersonations might not be so good and that was quickly dispelled in the foyer before I'd even reached the dining area. The second that because audience interaction with comedy today is often very barbed, I was delighted to find this was not the case. One of Australia's famous sons, or should that be daughter's?, Dame Edna, whilst excellent on TV becomes another thing entirely in live performance! I can never understand how people are prepared to pay for being belittled and claim to have enjoyed the experience.
I notice you are appearing in London at the end of the tour but I am pleased I saw the show in Manchester as it also provided an opportunity to take in the Lowry Galleries and the Imperial War Museum - although, shhhhh, as we are not supposed to talk about the war!
With every good wish for your continued success

"We saw your show at The Links Liphook last night which was excellent - we had a wonderful time, and it was really great to see the characters brought to life so convincingly."

"We thoroughly enjoyed the performance! There was not a moment during the entire show that we didn't think we were literally eating inside the hotel of Faulty Towers. The likeness of Basil to John Cleese is uncanny and we completely lost ourselves in the fantasy. We thought all three performers were incredible and we'll definitely be going to the show when it comes back for the Fringe Festival.
My wife and I haven't laughed so hard in a longtime. Between finding a surprise in our soup, to admiring Manuel's ass! The entire show was hilarious! We have no trouble (and will definitely be!) recommending the Dining Experience to everyone that we talk to about it.
From both my wife and I we'd love to thank Interactive Theatre Australia but especially the three Faulty Towers performers for a brilliant night out! We were extremely impressed!"

"Yep we had a good time, we were kinda nervous the whole way through wondering what would be done to us, haha. We were the youngest couple there (19 and 20) so the next up from us, I say would of been around 40. So we did stand out in the crowd. It was very funny.
I got out the Fawlty Towers DVD's and have started watching them, I must say the dinner was much funnier than the show itself."

"Just wanted to let you know that after all the time we spent trying to arrange the booking for our group, it was well worth the effort. We all had a great time last night at St Pauls, even the more recalcitrant members of our party. The Faulty Towers group were superb, it was hard to keep telling ourselves that they were not the real characters. The food was plain, but very enjoyable, and certainly recommending the evening to my friends."

"Very Good! I throughly enjoyed the performance. Great value for food and entertainment in one setting! (I tried to catch the cast before leaving, but was in a sense dragged away).
Had I known where I was going I would have loved to watch my Fawlty DVDS and got in the role of the American ordering a Waldorf Salad or the like. I was so tempted! And when I was close ... I baulked."

"I just wanted to say how much our family enjoyed our dinner and theatre experience on Saturday night at Alexander's Bar and Restaurant.
We had a wonderful time from 6 year old Courtney-Rad (Manuel and Basil will remember her) to my parents and Dad's brother (in their 80's). In our party were visitors from Victoria, New South Wales and ACT.
Thanks to all the actors. The meal and service were excellent as well. It was a great choice to celebrate Mum and Dad's 60th wedding anniversary."

"We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and thought that the person doing Basil was as close a look-a-like as one could get. Mannerisms, stance, tonality of voice etc spot on.... The interaction was spot on and I found myself at one stage holding a fire extinguisher for Basil. We laughed and laughed and appreciated the sort of sub-plots entwined.... In all a great night's entertainment."

"Just thought I'd drop you guys
a line about your performance at the Texas Motel, 16
February, 2002. I must say that I was spellbound by...
oh, no. I must not say I was spellbound. That implies
something far more static than the fat-wobbling, gut-busting,
face-aching laughter that was Faulty Towers - The Dining
Experience. (Though I must admit that an empty soup
bowl, an exotic array of cutlery and pre-emptive garnish
make for a thoroughly confusing dining experience!)
I was thankful for my overwhelming nicotine addiction
when Manuel climbed under the table to recover my sister's
knickers while I was trying to sneak back to my seat.
I knew she'd do that. You just can't take her anywhere
where a waiter might inadvertently pour someone else's
wine into her glass! Off with the undies! And I must
congratulate Manuel on his chivalry in trying to replace
them, just at the moment the rat might have crawled
up her leg! Bravo!
Thank you one and all for a delightful performance of
one of my favourites. I can't wait to see other shows,
though I may have to agitate in Toowoomba, closer to
home, for more opportunities.
Break a leg!" Toni |

"'Faulty
Towers a hoot'
For those of you who didn't
make it to Settlers Motor Inn on Wednesday night for
the Faulty Towers dinner - it must be said that you
certainly missed one of the best dinner shows in Biloela.
Basil, Sybil and Manuel wowed the diners with their
crazy antics and superb sense of humour.
The show began with Basil and Sybil taking everyone's
order, and then proceeding to remember which table
and to whom the order belonged to.
Without a doubt, one of the highlights of the show
was when the chef misplaced his false teeth - they
were later recovered, floating in somebody's soup
dish.
Needless to say it was a great evening had by all.
Settlers menu was second to none and the staff are
to be commended.
I know that the Central Telegraph staff, who attended
the dinner, had a memorable night ... and are still
laughing."

Even whilst queuing up, anticipating the Faulty Towers dining experience we were none the less still entertained with a lively performance from Basil Faulty (Michael Davoren) and his misunderstanding employee Manuel (Daley Donnelly) until some short lived calm was restored thanks to the arrival of Sybil (Karen Hamilton).
It was instantly noticeable that they had captured every essence of the original sitcom production, which made their performance even more believable and entertaining.
After we were sat down there was an immense feeling that the evening would only become more hectic, with Manuel’s constant irritation towards Basil via a consistent repetition of misinterpreted orders and a general array of misbehavior. We also privy to Basil’s mischievous dealings that he plays behind Sybil’s back that in turn causes a vicious interplay of fights, manic chases and purely brutal beatings!
The general interaction and showmanship of the three performers creates an immense experience, which is performed between each course of a three-course meal, which is often forgotten about amongst the general chaos, and highly amusing performances from our favored characters.
Overall the general experience was one that was extremely entertaining and incredibly gripping, the ever-going conflict continued until it ended in a finale of inter-restaurant warfare that resulted in Armageddon and a dramatic exit that was followed by an excess of applause. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening and could find not fault with the faulty dinner.

My father and I went to the Faulty Towers Dining Experience in Edinburgh last night (19 Aug) and it was FANTASTIC! I just wanted to e-mail to say how super the actors were and how enjoyable it was. Sybil, Basil and Manuel were SO funny and had perfectly captured the characters mannerisms. We loved the interactive aspect - Manuel though my father was the "Major" and brought him his paper!! It was such fun. We are so glad we were able to get tickets and I am delighted to hear that you are sold out.
Hopefully it will be back on again next year...........
Well done to everyone. Kind regards.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to all who took part in this dining experience I will never forget. Just attended one here in Edinburgh for the festival, what a gut busting laugh we all had, so much so I want to go back and do it once more.
Thanks again, one of if not the best shows I have seen at the fringe.

"Had an absolute ball! The Actors were brilliant, and the likeness in behabiour and appearance was uncanny! Had reservations as to how they would pull it off, and make us feel like we were part of Faulty Towers, but we really did feel like we could have been in one of the episodes! We met the actors afterwards as well, and they were happy to banter with us, which just topped off a great night!"

"As a Fawlty Towers fanatic I wasn't sure what I was going to get, I was only hoping it was going to be half as funny as I find the original. It more than exceeded my expectations. I haven't laughed to much and so hard in ages. By the end of the night my face was aching. I considered it the best money I had spent in a long time. The characters were so real I felt that we were sitting in the actual dining room during an episode. We can't wait to do it again."

"Enjoyed it so much, wish there were more interactive performances like Faulty Towers!! Performers stayed in character at all times, as I found out, when I asked Manuel a question about the meal and he got me so flustered with his accent and not being able to understand what I was asking, I told him to "Nick off then!!" and he responded with a remark about the Russian chef!! All cast members were excellent in their performance. Basil, Sybil and Manuel, something we will remember for a long time as a great night out!"

"This was one of the best shows myself and my party of 10 have experienced and we have been to lots of Fringe shows over the years. The performers were absolutely brilliant and worked the audience brilliantly, you simply could not take your eyes off them as you would miss another brilliant performance. The venue was superb. Right number of crowd in the audience so that you felt part of the show and not part of the show. To top it off the food and service was brilliant. A most enjoyable night and one we will be looking for in future Fringe Festivals.

They were hilarious and very professional taking on their roles throughout the entire evening from our welcome by Basil to Manuel showing photos of his ass and his sister's ass, to Sybil constantly on Basil's back.
